I am currently in an ancient history class, and we have just finished the Ancient Greece unit. Now, we have to choose an artefact from ancient Greece, make it, and do a presentation about it to the class. (We also have to write a paper on the significance of the item in ancient Greek society, but that's too boring for much more mention). The presentation is supposed to be like a banquet, so we cant just stand up and say "This is my project." Today I tried out some jewellery design, and I've got to say, it was really fun but harder than I thought it would be. It is also very VERY hard to think of a doable design. I can't really draw very well, so I had to kind of play around with my materials and lay them out on a table and take pictures instead. I ended up coming up with a nice design, but its very simple. Really though, it makes me think. I am passable at making jewellery, I am okay at photography, I can sew sings and my art is pretty okay as well. I can do all of this, but I specialize in nothing. Yay.
