I am currently in an ancient history class, and we have just finished the Ancient Greece unit. Now, we have to choose an artefact from ancient Greece, make it, and do a presentation about it to the class. (We also have to write a paper on the significance of the item in ancient Greek society, but that's too boring for much more mention). The presentation is supposed to be like a banquet, so we cant just stand up and say "This is my project." We have to be more like "This is my offering to the mighty god Ares in the hope that he grants us victory in the upcoming battle etc, etc." Its gonna be fun, because we're also marked on how well our little act is because that also shows our understanding of Greek society at the time.

I made an enormous shield. It is circular and three feet in diameter. I have to bring it to school via public transit. I am going to look like a weirdo.

Today I tried out some jewellery design, and I've got to say, it was really fun but harder than I thought it would be. It is also very VERY hard to think of a doable design. I can't really draw very well, so I had to kind of play around with my materials and lay them out on a table and take pictures instead. I ended up coming up with a nice design, but its very simple.

Really though, it makes me think. I am passable at making jewellery, I am okay at photography, I can sew sings and my art is pretty okay as well. I can do all of this, but I specialize in nothing. Yay.

If you guessed from the title, I made a teeny rabbit. It is a little smaller than my little bear (which you guys don't actually know the size of yet) and made of emerald green silk. It has little sparkly gems all over it (glass of course) and has long floppy ears. Eventually, I will post a picture of it.

I made a little bear out of velvet and denim. He is really small ( I think he's only a little over 3" tall). He has no name though, and I am positive that my friends suggested a name for him, but I forgot what it was. When I get my hands on a camera, I'll upload a picture of him.
